Submit evidence of censorship of health workers for the UN Special rapporteur. ENG

Hi ALL,  

As some of you may be aware some of our HW4P team including Dr James Smith, Dr Ghassan and myself, have recently contributed to a collective effort to submit evidence to The United Nations Special Rapporteur for the Right to Health.

Our report was titled: HEALTHCARE WORKERS AS HUMAN RIGHTS DEFENDERS: A MEDICAL PERSPECTIVE ON ISRAEL'S GENOCIDE ENABLEMENT APPARATUS IN GAZA AND ABROAD. You can find our executive summary for this report on our website www.hw4p.com 

As part of that ongoing work Dr Mofoking (special rapporteur on the right to heath) will be including the aforementioned report in her final report released in June. In addition she will be submitting a list of all institutions that have censored health workers and has asked we collect this information. Therefore we have created a questionnaire to help collect this information. 

We ask that if you have been censored in ANY way. Please fill out the attached form. 

This is an EXTREMELY rare and historic move as she will use this to send letters to these institutions from the UN to outline their violations of international law and this can potentially lead to a tribunal in the future. 

You can choose to be anonymous as the emphasis is on the institution itself. However IF you are happy to add your details this could be useful for further archiving of testimonies which is a separate project we have just initiated with a Palestinian expert in necro-politics. 

For anyone who leaves their contact details we will of course contact you separately if the information is to be used for anything OTHER than this body of evidence for Dr Mofoking. 

Please feel free to pass on this form to any health worker, in any health discipline and any kind of workplace. The deadline for us to collect this information is 23/02/2025. 

Lastly we will be working with coalition partners here in the UK, who we know are also collecting similar information to ensure we are casting a wide net to capture all details.
