Global Health Workers Strongly Condemn the Attack on Al-Nasser Hospital

As health professionals from across the world, we express our outrage and deep sorrow over the brutal attack carried out by Israeli forces on Al-Nasser Hospital in Gaza.

This deliberate targeting of a medical facility—clearly prohibited under international humanitarian law—led to the horrific deaths of wounded patients who were burned alive. The attack was broadcast live, in full view of the global community.

Hospitals are not battlegrounds. Patients are not targets. Health workers are not enemies.

While this is not the first time Israel has attacked a medical institution during this genocidal campaign, the sheer barbarity of this incident demands an urgent and unified global response. Targeting the sick, the injured, and those who care for them is not only a war crime—it is a direct assault on our shared humanity.

We, the undersigned health professionals, humanitarian workers , and organizations, demand:

1. An immediate international investigation into the attack on Al-Nasser Hospital,

2. Accountability for all responsible parties under international law,

3. Unrestricted access for humanitarian aid and medical personnel into Gaza,

4. Lifting of the siege, an end to the blockade and the deliberate targeting of health infrastructure.

5. An end to the occupation

We call on health institutions, medical associations, and unions around the world to raise their voices. Silence in the face of such horror is complicity.

Enough is enough. Health is not a crime. Treating the wounded is not terrorism.

Denial of the right to health is denial of the right to live. Let this be the moment the global medical community stands united —bold, unwavering, and uncompromising—in defense of life and human dignity.

Health Workers for Palestine Spain condena enérgicamente el ataque contra el hospital Al-Nasser

Como profesionales de la salud expresamos nuestra indignación y profundo dolor por el brutal ataque perpetrado por las fuerzas israelíes contra el Hospital Al-Nasser de Gaza.

Este ataque deliberado contra un centro médico -claramente prohibido por el Derecho Internacional Humanitario- causó la horrible muerte de pacientes heridos que fueron quemados vivos. El ataque ha sido retransmitido en directo, a la vista de toda la Comunidad Internacional.

Los hospitales no son campos de batalla. Los pacientes no son objetivos. Los trabajadores sanitarios no son enemigos.

Aunque no es la primera vez que Israel ataca una institución médica durante el Genocidio, la absoluta barbarie de este incidente exige una respuesta urgente y unificada. Atacar a los enfermos, a los heridos y a quienes los atienden no es sólo un crimen de guerra, es un ataque directo a nuestra humanidad.

Nosotras, profesionales de la salud exigimos:

1. Una investigación internacional inmediata del ataque contra el Hospital Al-Nasser,

2. La rendición de cuentas de todas las partes responsables en virtud del derecho internacional,

3. Acceso sin restricciones de la ayuda humanitaria y el personal médico a Gaza,

4. Levantamiento del asedio, fin del bloqueo y de los ataques deliberados contra las infraestructuras sanitarias.

5. El fin de la ocupación de Israel sobre territorio Palestino.

Hacemos un llamamiento a las instituciones sanitarias, asociaciones médicas y sindicatos de todo el mundo para que alcen la voz. El silencio ante tal horror es complicidad.

Ya basta. La salud no es un crimen. Tratar a los heridos no es terrorismo.

Negar el derecho a la salud es negar el derecho a la vida. Que este sea el momento en que la comunidad médica se una -con valentía, sin fisuras y sin concesiones- en defensa de la vida y la dignidad humana.
