Israel, out of the WHO Executive Board! Israel, ¡fuera del Consejo Ejecutivo de la OMS! ENG/ESP

WHO (World Health Organization) is not a “neutral” organization but an agency that represents “the world order”; that is, the power of the United States and its allies. That is why WHO is not neutral towards Israel (and its colonialist existence in Palestine). 

Israel was elected as a member of the WHO Executive Committee, representing Europe, during the General Assembly on May 31, 2024.

Israel began a slaughter of Palestinians in Gaza in October 2023, and has not let up. This has not prevented it from joining the WHO Executive Board in 2024, for three years. How is such a presence, such a “normalization” of genocide possible? Israel must be expelled from the WHO Executive Board.

"Occidental bias". WHO, an umbrella of protection and justification for genocide in Gaza and a legal cover for the systematic destruction of health facilities (hospitals, health centres, ambulances, etc.) and the targeted killing of health professionals: 

"Israeli amendment surprisingly passes World Health Assembly. 31 May 2024. The amendment, which calls for release of the hostages and condemns Gazan terror groups for militarizing hospitals". The Israeli amendment “calls for the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages held in Gaza, including children, women and older persons, and condemns the use, by armed groups, of health facilities, including hospitals and ambulances, that endangers the civilian population.” The amendment received a wide range of support—from traditional allies, like the United States, United Kingdom and Germany, to countries that often oppose Israel in international forums, such as Iceland, Spain and the Philippines.

World Health Organization. The Executive Board is composed of 34 technically qualified members elected for three-year terms. The annual Board meeting is held in January when the members agree upon the agenda for the World Health Assembly and the resolutions to be considered by the Health Assembly.

A second shorter meeting takes place in May-June, as a follow-up to the Health Assembly. The main functions of the Board are to implement the decisions and policies of the Health Assembly, and advise and generally to facilitate its work.

WHO generally avoids the name “Israel” in its notes on the genocide in Gaza. It all seems as if the destruction and killings are due to a force of nature, not a Zionist state. For example, in this December 28, 2024 statement: 

"Kamal Adwan Hospital out of service following a raid yesterday and repeated attacks since October"

Officially, WHO works worldwide to promote health, keep the world safe, and serve the vulnerable. Its goal is to ensure that a billion more people have universal health coverage, to protect a billion more people from health emergencies, and provide a further billion people with better health and well-being.

Organización Mundial de la Salud, OMS. El Consejo Ejecutivo está integrado por 34 miembros técnicamente cualificados en el ámbito de la salud. Sus miembros se eligen para un mandato de tres años.  

La principal reunión del Consejo, en la que se decide el orden del día para la siguiente Asamblea de la Salud y se adoptan resoluciones para someterlas a la Asamblea de la Salud, se celebra en enero, y una segunda reunión, más breve, en mayo, inmediatamente después de la Asamblea de la Salud, para tratar asuntos de índole más administrativa.  Las principales funciones del Consejo Ejecutivo consisten en dar efecto a las decisiones y políticas de la Asamblea de la Salud, en asesorarla y, de manera general, en facilitar su trabajo.

En general, la OMS evita el nombre de "Israel" en sus notas sobre el genocidio en Gaza. Todo parece como si la destrucción y los asesinatos se debieran a una fuerza de la naturaleza, no a un Estado sionista. Por ejemplo, en este comunicado del 28 de diciembre de 2024: 

"El hospital Kamal Adwan está fuera de servicio tras el asalto de ayer y ataques repetidos desde octubre"

Oficialmente, la OMS trabaja en todo el mundo para promover la salud, mantener el mundo seguro y atender a los vulnerables. Su objetivo es garantizar que mil millones de personas más tengan cobertura sanitaria universal, proteger a mil millones de personas más de las emergencias sanitarias y proporcionar a otros mil millones de personas mejor salud y bienestar.

La OMS está constantemente desacreditándose. No es raro que la "Plataforma Sanitarios con Palestina Valencia" declare que los componentes de esta organización [OMS] deben ser juzgados por crímenes contra la humanidad y otro organismo internacional debe hacerse cargo de las competencias que le hubieran sido inherentes y nunca cumplió esta organización salvo para los intereses del sionismo y la gran industria farmacéutica".
