Female chimeras

Inspired by chimera Greek mythology, which is, a hybrid creature composed of parts of more than one animal. Female chimeras, is a life changing experience for females in Palestine who breakthrough society's prescriptive and create a new hybrid culture.

Female chimeras was launched in 2018, it is a trans-formative experience for Palestinian females that reflects another side of their life through visual stories.

Female chimeras project is giving females the chance to speak up for their accomplishments and challenges, allowing the world to see the inspirational voices of Palestine.

Stories could be tragic, could be cheerful, but they are showing the real life of Palestinian females.

Amani Natsha
"We are heading to Gaza"
Amani, a mother from Gaza, was forced to evacuate with her family from their home in the northern part of the Strip to a tent in Deir al-Balah, having lost almost everything. When a truce was announced, and before it collapsed, she didn't hesitate during the brief period that returns were permitted. She gathered what few belongings remained, and with her family, began the seven-hour walk back home. Did she find it?

Sabreen Khairy
"I was planning my wedding... then I woke up with one leg."
On the day the truce was shattered, Sabreen Khairy woke up to a nightmare—her leg amputated, her home destroyed. But even in the rubble of war, one thing remained: love. Samiha Muqbil, a Guardian of the Land, faced a horrifying attack that could have shattered her spirit. Despite enduring this traumatic incident, she harnessed her strength and determination to achieve self-sufficiency through her outstanding organic products!

Halimah Sarabta
"What does music therapy mean for a deaf girl?"
Halima, a young Palestinian woman from Bethlehem, who inherited the deafness from her mother, along with her four sisters, was mocked because she is deaf. Halima refused to get a cochlear implant, and preferred to be a deaf treating children with music!

Inspirado en la quimera de la mitología griega, una criatura híbrida compuesta por partes de más de un animal, Quimeras Femeninas es una experiencia transformadora para las mujeres palestinas que rompen con las normas de la sociedad y crean una nueva cultura híbrida.
 
Quimeras Femeninas se lanzó en 2018 y es una experiencia transformadora para las mujeres palestinas que refleja otra faceta de su vida a través de historias visuales.
 
El proyecto Quimeras Femeninas brinda a las mujeres la oportunidad de expresar sus logros y desafíos, permitiendo que el mundo vea las voces inspiradoras de Palestina. Las historias pueden ser trágicas o alegres, pero muestran la vida real de las mujeres palestinas.

"Nos dirigimos a Gaza"
