Gaza marks Ramadan with traditional qatayef
The mini pancakes are filled with cheese and nuts and then covered in syrup, providing those who are fasting a high energy snack in a bite. Just as Palestinians were starting to get into the spirit of Ramadan, offering traditional qatayef desserts in the evening, Israel blocked the delivery of food aid into the enclave.
