As we gather for Passover this year, many of us feel overwhelmed with despair.

For 17 months, the Israeli government has carried out a genocide in Gaza, wreaking death and destruction at an incomprehensible scale. Now, as the Trump regime pushes the U.S. to the brink of a fascist takeover, Israel is expanding its genocide across historic Palestine.

But as Palestinians choose life, remaining steadfast in the face of unimaginable circumstances, we too must refuse to comply with fascism — and continue crying out with everything we have to end the genocide.

We find the strength to keep fighting by rooting ourselves in Jewish tradition. It is in the name of this tradition of fighting fascist erasure — and the steadfastness of Palestinians living through genocide — that we dedicate JVP’s 5785 Haggadah.

Para la Pascua, el grupo de Estados Unidos de "Jewish Voice for Peace" propone el cartel adjunto en este contexto:

Al reunirnos para la Pascua de este año, muchos de nosotros nos sentimos abrumados por la desesperación.

Durante 17 meses, el gobierno israelí ha llevado a cabo un genocidio en Gaza, sembrando la muerte y la destrucción a una escala incomprensible. Ahora, mientras el régimen de Trump empuja a Estados Unidos al borde de una toma de poder fascista, Israel está expandiendo su genocidio por la Palestina histórica.

Pero al igual que los palestinos eligen la vida, manteniéndose firmes frente a circunstancias inimaginables, nosotros también debemos negarnos a acatar el fascismo - y seguir gritando con todo lo que tenemos para poner fin al genocidio.

Encontramos la fuerza para seguir luchando enraizándonos en la tradición judía. Es en nombre de esta tradición de lucha contra el borrado fascista -y de la firmeza de los palestinos que viven el genocidio- que dedicamos la Hagadá 5785 del JVP.
