According to her investigation, the technology company, majority-owned by the United States, was responsible for maintaining the central database of the Population and Immigration Authority, under the Israeli Ministry of the Interior. This agency is the heart of the apartheid bureaucracy, managing access to what it considers Israeli territory.

The Population Authority plays a fundamental role in the detention of "illegal" persons in Israel, collaborating with the Zionist prison services and Israeli state security forces. According to the UN rapporteur's investigation, HP's Israeli subsidiary continues to supply servers for the agency's database, enabling the collection, storage, and use of Palestinian biometric data. This, Albanese explains, supports Israel's travel permit regime, which is extremely discriminatory against the Palestinian population.

Furthermore, the opacity of its commercial structure has allowed it to conceal information about seven of its subsidiaries in Israel, so it may have other functions that are currently unknown. Among other sources, Francesca Albanese uses information collected by the organization Who Profits and the BDS (Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions against Israel) movement. Both have been investigating these companies' complicity with apartheid, colonization, and now, genocide for years. Both organizations have pointed out Teva Pharmaceuticals' connection to the precariousness of the Palestinian market.

This company is the largest distributor of generic drugs in the world. According to Who Profits, its enormous market share and free access—without customs or controls—to the Palestinian market has impeded the development of the tiny Gazan pharmaceutical industry. Since October 7, it has also been buried under bombs.

Teva has a monopoly on the distribution of medicines in the occupied territories, but is not required to label its products in Arabic. Although Teva does not appear in Francesca Albanese's report, Madrid healthcare workers have asked the relevant authorities to implement the strategy proposed by the rapporteur for this and other companies that profit from genocide: exposing those who have contributed to apartheid and genocide so that they are held accountable.

"We ask that contracts not be made with those who are not above suspicion" and that "investigations be carried out before contracting" with one company or another, one of the signatories of the letter clarifies to Público. To this end, they cite Albanese's report, as well as the databases compiled by BDS and Who Profits.

At the moment, neither the hospital authorities nor the Madrid Ministry of Health have commented on the healthcare workers' requests, according to the signatories of the letter.
