"La Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) acoge un acto contra "empresas sionistas" y excluye a un grupo antisemita ilegalizado en Alemania tras las denuncias


El Gobierno de Ayuso [presidenta de la Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid] ha remitido una queja pública al rector este viernes, aunque desde la UCM aseguran que ya sabían que no iba a formar parte del programa.


Nueva polémica en la Facultad de Ciencias Políticas de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Durante este viernes y sábado (28 y 29 de noviembre), el campus [de Somosaguas] de la Ciudad Universitaria va a celebrar un juicio contra empresas "sionistas" y "la complicidad del Estado español con el genocidio palestino".

Un evento de dos días que va a escenificar un tribunal de opinión organizado por la Red Universitaria por Palestina y que iba a contar con la participación de la organización Samidoun, tal y como había denunciado el Gobierno de Ayuso y asociaciones israelíes 

Pero, tras las críticas de estas asociaciones y el Gobierno regional, el rector de la UCM, Joaquín Goyache, ha eliminado al organismo del programa que se seguirá desarrollando conforme ya estaba aprobado.

Hay que recordar que Samidoun es una agrupación que está ilegalizada en Alemania y que ha sido sancionada en EEUU y Canadá, donde tiene su sede. Precisamente allí, en Canadá, se le considera una organización terrorista, tal y como ha informado la Consejería de Educación de la Comunidad de Madrid".

NUESTRA RESPUESTA

Profesionales de Sanidad Por Palestina, España (HW4PS) Health Workers For Palestine, Spain, participó en dicho acto, en la Mesa 4 (sistema sanitario) del Tribunal de los Pueblos sobre la Complicidad del Estado español con el Genocidio en Palestina. Se analizó la participacíon española en el apartheid y genocidio palestino. No se juzgaba a Israel, se juzgaba a España.

Como profesionales de sanidad estamos obligados por ética y profesionalismo a estar en contra del apartheid y del genocidio se cometan donde se cometan.

Además, creemos que el silencio, la neutralidad, la insensibilidad y la complicidad ante crímenes de guerra, como el genocidio, nos convierten en criminales.

Si es terrorismo lo que hace Samidoum, el exigir respeto a los derechos humanos por la potencia colonial y expresar solidaridad con la población palestina secuestrada (torturada siempre, y a veces incluso asesinada) por Israel, como profesionales de sanidad nos declaramos también terroristas.

The Ayuso government [president of the Autonomous Community of Madrid] sent a public complaint to the rector this Friday, although the UCM maintains that they already knew it would not be part of the program.
 
New controversy at the Faculty of Political Science of the Complutense University of Madrid. OUR ANSWER
 
Health Workers For Palestine, Spain (HW4PS) participated in the event, specifically in Panel 4 (Healthcare System) of the People's Tribunal on the Complicity of the Spanish State in the Genocide in Palestine.
 
The panel analyzed Spain's participation in Palestinian apartheid and genocide. The focus was not on Israel, but on Spain.
 
As healthcare professionals, we are ethically and professionally obligated to oppose apartheid and genocide, wherever they occur.
 
We believe that silence, neutrality, insensitivity, and complicity in the face of war crimes, such as genocide, make us criminals.
 
If what Samidoum does—demanding respect for human rights from the colonial power and expressing solidarity with the Palestinian population kidnapped (always tortured, and sometimes even murdered) by Israel—is terrorism, then as healthcare professionals, we also declare ourselves terrorists.
