2 Nov 2025. Balfour Declaration. Cinema Day. Día de cine palestino, 2 nov 2025. ENG ESP

ENGLISH
As international news outlets, world leaders, and major social media platforms continue to censor and distort the narrative while fueling the dehumanization of Palestinians and their ongoing suffering, we are using our channels to support the forcibly canceled Palestine Cinema Days Festival.
On November 2, the anniversary of the Balfour Declaration, we are organizing over 500 Palestinian film screenings around the world. This global effort is a show of solidarity with Palestine, an act of amplification for censored Palestinian voices, and a contribution to shifting the distorted narrative.
Below you will find the selected films for Palestine Cinema Days Around the World 2025.
You will also find an interactive map showcasing the countries and venues that Palestine Cinema Days Around the World has travelled to this year.
When you click on a specific country, you will find a list of screenings taking place there, including the film titles, venues, and screening times.

The tragedy ends with a haunting question: “Why didn’t they knock on the walls of the tank?”
A State of Passion

Available Subtitles (En, Sp, Fr, It)
British-Palestinian surgeon Dr. Ghassan Abu Sittah spent 43 days under Gaza’s bombardment, treating the wounded without rest. Facing horrific injuries, targeted hospitals, and orphaned children, his work became a symbol of resistance. This film explores his sixth and most harrowing Gaza war, his family’s fears, and the shared passion for Palestine that fuels his relentless humanitarian mission despite the danger.
Jenin, Jenin
Mohammad Bakri
Documentary, 54 min
Available Subtitles (En, Fr)
In 2002, during Israel’s invasion of Jenin refugee camp, journalists were barred and war crime accusations emerged. Filmmaker Mohammad Bakri entered to record residents’ testimonies, giving voice to those silenced. The film was banned, sparking legal battles and accusations from soldiers. Years later, Israel’s Supreme Court overturned the ban, restoring this raw account of a community under siege.

In her early twenties, Hiam Abbass left her native Palestinian village to follow her dream of becoming an actress in Europe, leaving behind her mother, grandmother, and seven sisters. Thirty years later, her filmmaker daughter Lina returns with her to the village and questions for the first time her mother’s bold choices, her chosen exile and the way the women in their family influenced both their lives. Set between past and present, Bye Bye Tiberias pieces together images of today, family footage from the nineties and historical archives to portray four generations of daring Palestinian women who keep their story and legacy alive through the strength of their bonds, despite exile, dispossession, and heartbreak.
