Anunciamos desde aquí, desde la tierra de Gaza, el lanzamiento de la Bienal de Gaza, con la participación de más de 40 artistas, para afirmar que el arte palestino atraviesa todos los espacios asediados. Ninguna guerra puede detener los sueños de los soñadores, y ningún mecanismo de dominación apaga la luz en los corazones y las mentes de los creadores. En nombre de todos los artistas participantes, incluidos aquellos que, debido a la guerra y a la división geográfica, no pueden unirse físicamente a nosotros, afirmamos lo siguiente:

1) A través del arte, resistimos a todas las formas de genocidio y opresión.

2) Seguimos dando y creando, a pesar de todos los obstáculos y desafíos.

3) A través del arte, trascendemos las barreras, garantizando que las voces de los artistas palestinos lleguen al mundo, reafirmando el derecho de los palestinos a hablar y a ser escuchados.

4) La Bienal representa el punto de partida de un trabajo artístico colectivo, uniendo a muchas partes e instituciones que creen en la justicia de nuestra causa y en el poder del arte.

5) La Bienal surgió a pesar de la dispersión, el desplazamiento y el sufrimiento padecidos por los artistas, que se reunieron para satisfacer una necesidad: por invención, dignidad y propósito, presentamos una visión de un futuro mejor.

Esta Bienal es un llamamiento al mundo, a los artistas y a las instituciones culturales, para que se solidaricen con los artistas palestinos, los apoyen y trabajen juntos para garantizar que sus voces y sus historias sigan estando presentes, y que sus obras sigan siendo un testimonio de lucha y resistencia, iluminando el camino de la humanidad en los tiempos más difíciles.

We hereby announce from here, from the land of Gaza, the launch of the Gaza Biennale, with the participation of over 40 artists, to affirm that Palestinian art pierces through all besieged spaces. No war can stop the dreams of dreamers, and no mechanisms of domination extinguish the light in the hearts and minds of creators. On behalf of all the participating artists, including those who, due to war and geographical division, are unable to join us physically, we affirm the following:

1) Through art, we resist all forms of genocide and oppression.

2) We continue to give and create, despite all obstacles and challenges.

3) Through art, we transcend barriers, ensuring that the voices of Palestinian artists reach the world, reaffirming Palestinian’s right to speak and be heard.

4) The Biennale represents the starting point for collective artistic work, uniting many parties and institutions that believe in the justice of our cause and the power of art.

5) The Biennale emerged despite dispersion, displacement, and suffering endured by artists, gathering to fill a need—for invention, dignity and purpose, we present a vision for a better future.

This Biennale is a call to the world, to artists and cultural institutions, to stand in solidarity with Palestinian artists, support them, and work together to ensure that their voices and stories remain present, and that their works remain a testament to struggle and resilience, lighting a path for humanity in the most dire times.
