Estamos trabajando en medio de la muerte ahora, y los tanques están a solo unos metros de distancia...

Estamos más cerca del final que de la vida.

Los soldados no distinguen entre un niño o un anciano, entre un médico o una enfermera. Pero nos quedamos, no porque no tengamos miedo, sino porque nuestra humanidad no nos permite irnos.

Nos quedamos porque elegimos ser humanos antes que nada, y porque nuestra misión es más importante que la supervivencia individual. Y si estos cuervos nos llevan, no nos dejen ahogarnos en la oscuridad de los números.

Recuérdennos como personas que amaban la vida, que tenían sueños, hijos que los esperaban y esposas a quienes amaban profundamente.

No somos superhéroes, solo entendimos de verdad lo que significa ser humano.

Cuéntenle al mundo sobre nosotros. Díganles que fuimos más humanos que aquellos que pretendían serlo. Díganles que elegimos morir antes que traicionar nuestro juramento humanitario.

No nos elogien, no nos otorguen medallas de heroísmo... solo digan la verdad: "Estos entendieron el verdadero significado de la misericordia".

Fue un honor para nosotros estar con ustedes, trabajar para ustedes, tratar de curar sus dolores. Perdónennos si fallamos.

Pero por favor... no nos olviden. No somos números.

Medical teams at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis send a farewell message amid the surrounding danger:

“We are currently working in the hospital, and the tanks are only a few meters away. We are now closer to death than to life.

The soldiers show no mercy—not to a child, not to an elder, not to a doctor, nor a nurse.

We remain here because we are human, and our mission is humanitarian. If these vultures steal our souls… don’t forget us, and don’t turn us into numbers.

We love life. We have dreams just like you. We have children and spouses we love.

But to truly be human means never abandoning those who need your humanity.” “Tell the world about us… Tell them we were more human than those who only claimed to be. Tell them we chose death over abandoning our noble mission.”

“Don’t just call us heroes. Just say we understood what it truly means to be human. And forgive us—we are not numbers.”

SOS from Al-Nasser Medical Complex

On the night of July 10, Al Nasser Medical Complex in Gaza came under intensifying siege, now surrounded from the south, west, and east. Medical personnel inside describe active sniper fire targeting individuals within the hospital compound. 

Patients arriving at the emergency room bear injuries consistent with direct gunfire, not warning shots, some shot while standing still near administrative buildings.

Multiple head injuries treated over several hours, suggesting a pattern of deliberate targeting. Gunfire has been hitting areas inside the compound itself, forcing medical staff and residents to take shelter away from windows and balconies. Despite the ongoing danger, no official evacuation order has been issued.

This is a blatant attack on a medical facility under international protection. Al Nasser Medical Complex is not a battlefield. It is a hospital. The patients, staff, and civilians sheltering there are under grave threat. Immediate international attention and intervention are needed.
